Tallie Clark is therapist and recently divorced.  She is on her way home when she noticed a man on bridge who looks like he is about to jump. She pulls over, gets out in the pouring rain to help this man. She convinces him to get a coffee. She finds out his name is Emmett.  Over the course of the weekend Tallie does everything in her power to keep Emmett safe. What she does not realize is that she herself has her own traumas to heal from.  As the story unfolds we begin to learn where Emmett came from and what lead him to the edge of bridge ready to jump. The pair met at just the right time, when they both needed someone to lean on.

What an emotional and powerful story about two strangers who met under some unfortunate circumstances.  Both are suffering from their own life traumas and lean on one another for comfort and healing. The characters are flawless, well crafted, honest and relatable.  The storyline is a slow build but is beautifully written with deep. powerful and meaningful topics. I highly recommend it.
