The Wrong Family Review

The Wrong Family Review

Title: The Wrong Family
Author: Tarryn Fisher
Style: Thriller
Rating: 3/5

"Weird is better than boring. Every time, man, every time.”

When Juno moved into the Crouchs home she thought they were the perfect family. As a retired therapist, Juno just wants to live the last of her days in peace but when she overhears a conversation between Nigel and Winnie she can't help but get involved. Juno is also hiding a secret of her own and by getting involved she might get her the redemption she is looking for.

The story is told in dual timelines and multiple points of view which are two of my favorite things. I found the story to be clever and unpredictable but it was a little slow and didn't keep my interest some of the time.  The ending kind of came out of nowhere and didn't really fit with the rest of the story. I really loved The Wives and was really looking forward to this one.  Sadly, overall it just didn't deliver for me. I don't regret reading it and I wasn't bored.  I guess it was just ok?
