“How had one night of fun and debauchery upended our lives?”
A story about obsession, toxic relationships and one crazy psychopath. It can’t get much better than that. Swallow (Low) Morrison lives on an island with her hippie polygamous parents and is set to graduate soon but she becomes entranced with a Freya, a woman new to the island. Low starts taking pottery classes with Freya and becomes even more infatuated with her. Enter Jamie, who also befriends Freya and you end up with jealously and somewhat stalkerish behaviors. There is also a dinner party gone wrong and deep dark secrets that will change the life of everyone involved.
This was a pretty good book. It is told in multiple view points but was easy to keep track of the different points of view. It was dark and twisty and full of surprises. I feel like the author did a really good job of developing the story and characters, especially the female characters. If you are looking for a dark and somewhat disturbing read then this might be right up your alley.
