Thank you Minotaur Books for the advanced readers' copy in exchange for my honest review. The Resting Place comes out March 29th

This creepy atmosphere kept me on the edge of my seat. Eleanor has prosopagnosia, it’s the inability to recognize a familiar person’s face and when she walks in on her grandmother being murdered she's no help in finding whose at fault.  She inherits a mansion after her grandmother's death. When she arrives she comes across an old diary from a former maid of the house. This allows the story to go from past to present seamlessly. Elenor brings her aunt, her boyfriend and a lawyer to help figure out how much the house is worth before she sells it.  Upon arrival it appears they are not alone and someone else is lurking the grounds. Add in a snowstorm leaving everyone stranded makes for a creepy, secluded adventure.

This was a quick read that kept me guessing until the end.  I love that by using the diary entries the reader is getting just enough info to piece together what might be going on. I was never bored while reading this and couldn't wait to finish so I could figure out what was going on.  I highly recommend this one for thriller and mystery lovers.
