The Next Wife Review

Title: The Next Wife
Author: Kaira Rouda
Style: Mystery,Thriller
Rating: 3/5
This was a fun domestic psychological thriller. Kate really has it all. A successful business that she owns with her husband John. A beautiful daughter and a happy marriage.... or so she thought. John leaves Kate to marry a woman only a few years older than his daughter. Tish begins to be suspicious of Kate and John who appear to maybe be rekindling their relationship. Tish and John head on a getaway to Telluride when tragedy strikes and everyone is a suspect and nothing seems like it seems.
Dark and disturbing this novel is fast paced and keeps you guessing the entire time. None of the characters are very likable which I think was intentional. The story still kept my interest the whole time I was reading. I was dying to know what was going on. Some parts where a bit predictable but that's not always a bad thing. Sometimes its fun to get something right.
I had the pleasure of participating in an author chat with Kaira Rouda with some of my Overbooks pals and it was such a fun experience to see where she gets her ideas and what some of her favorite books are.
