“Grief orbits the heart. Some days the circle is greater. Those are the good days. You have room to move and dance and breathe. Some days the circle is tighter. Those are the hard ones.”

Words can not articulate how much I adored this book.  I laughed.  I cried. It's a heartwarming story about love, family, and grief.  Patrick or Gay Uncle Patrick (GUP) is asked to care for Maisie and Grant after they lose their mother and their dad is going though his own issues.  Patrick, a former TV star and has no experience with children and feels a bit out of his league. As Patrick cares for the children he soon realizes that he continues to have his own grief over things that have happened in his life.

This book is easily one of my favorites of the year.  It was touching, beautiful and had the perfect mix of deep topics and laugh out loud moments.  I loved every single character.  I loved the dynamics of Patrick with Maisie and Grant as well as how they all helped one another grow.  I can not say enough about this book, nor can I do this review any justice at all.  Just read his book right now!  In fact, if you like audiobooks then give this one a listen.  It was fantastic!
