What’s this book about?
According to Goodreads, “A striking and surprising debut novel from an exhilarating new voice, Such a Fun Age is a page-turning and big-hearted story about race and privilege, set around a young black babysitter, her well-intentioned employer, and a surprising connection that threatens to undo them both.”
What I did I think?
I did not enjoy this story. I felt it lacked character and story development. I had no connection to any of the characters. The story wanted to address race and white privilege and I just feel like it fell short. I mean it touched on it some, but I fell like the author could have tried to go deeper. The characters were so unlikable that it was almost impossible to address this issue successfully in my opinion.
