What is the book about?
Natalie finds out her parents are getting a divorce and her best friends Lucy and Zach are dating. Natalie always thought she would end up with Zach and now feels like the third wheel but she is shy and awkward. Then an unexpected romance happens and changes everything.
What did I think?
I went back and forth between 4 and 5 stars and ended up rating this a 5. For a debut novel this author did a fantastic job. This was laugh out loud funny at parts. I absolutely loved Natalie’s character. I felt like if I were to bring my 18 year old self into the future that I would be Natalie. Her inner dialogue is exactly what I would have sounded like at 18. It was neat to see her character change throughout the book as she gained confidence. I love “Rom Com” novels because it makes me feel like I am watching a chick flick movie.
