What is this book about?
For the first 18 years of Rose Gold’s life she’s sick all the time. In and out of hospitals. She always had a strong support system. Her mother, Patty and other friends, who had fundraisers to help pay bills, bring meals, and provide a shoulders to cry on. No one could figure out what was wrong with Rose Gold. Rose Gold realizes the truth and testifies that her mother has been abusing her. As a result Patty spends 5 years in prison. When Patty gets out, she begs Rose Gold to take her in because she has no where to go. Patty wants to forgive Rose Gold for turning her in. But she knows her mother likely wants revenge and Rose Gold no longer weak. Will Patty settle the score and teach Rose Gold a lesson?

What did I think?
What did I just read? My mind is blow! What a clever suspenseful story! The storyline goes between Patty in present time and Rose Gold from the time when her mother was sent to prison to the present. Easy to follow with great transitions. Gosh I feel like I haven’t read a mystery/thriller like this in a long time! The best part? This is a debut novel! We can expect great things from Stephanie Wrobel! I can’t wait for her to write more!
