"Every journey is different, every obstacle unique.  And it's in that unique journey that we find lessons for our own lives."

Alexis Carlisle is the owner of ToeBeans, a cat cafe.  She was made famous when she helped take down a celebrity chef for sexual assault.  Since then, many woman have come to her for support in healing from their own traumas.  When a woman comes into the cafe claiming to be Alexis' half sister, Alex turns to her best friend Noah Logan. Noah is a computer genius with a secret.  He is in love with his best friend Alexis.  He decides to turn to the Bromance Book Club for help.

I love a good friends to lovers storyline and this one did not disappoint.  I found the relationship between Alexis and Noah to be sweet and I love how they both leaned on each other when they were struggling with things going on in their lives. The story had the perfect amount of steam and cheesy... make me feel giddy feelings. I love how the author connected the entire story together.  Noah's background with losing his father, Alexis' growing up in a single parent household only to connect with her father's side family later in life, as well as the emotional toll of what her father is seeking. Not to mention that all these books have crushed toxic male masculinity.  I highly recommend it.
