What is this book about?
Maurice is a writer and wants nothing more than to be successful. He will do anything to make his dream come true, including using stories that aren’t his own. He befriends other successful authors then drops them when they serve their purpose weather it be to help him come up with stories, getting his stories published and everything in between. As he continues to climb the more he stands to lose. Ladder to the Sky is a must read!

What did I think?
I really enjoyed this story. I found the story complex and hard to put down. The main character is not likable, in fact, there were times he filled me with rage. That being said, that was the intent. For him to be a villain and for the readers to not like him. I never thought I could hate a character so much but love the story even more. The lengths that Maurice goes to become successful are mind boggling. I wish that I could say more about this book but in doing so I would give away a lot. So I will end with saying that if you haven’t read this book you should! This is my first novel by Boyne and definitely won’t be my last.
